We work with people who have an acquired brain injury, traumatic brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, and other conditions that can be improved through music therapy.

Dr. Shane Cassidy is the founder of Neurolinks. He is an accredited and experienced music therapist, registered with IACAT. He is also a member of the International Academy for Neurologic Music Therapy. His clinical expertise lies primarily in neurological conditions and mental health. He has also been heavily active in the research field over the past five years.

Movement

Sensorimotor techniques support movement goals related to coordination, range-of-motion, balance, strength, endurance, and activities of daily living.

Communication

The speech and language techniques can be used to support a range of speech and language goals including breath support, speech development, word retrieval, word fluency, articulation, voicing volume, voice inflection, and non-verbal expressive communication.

Cognition

Specific techniques are used to address several cognition goals in the areas of attention, executive function, memory, psychosocial, and sensory integration.

What we offer

We offer one-to-one sessions as well as a number of weekly group session options.

Individual one-to-one sessions

Individual sessions 60 minutes (€90) or 40 minutes (€65).

Group Sessions

Due to COVID-19, we are currently unable to offer group sessions.

Institutional Programmes

We offer a limited number of tailored programmes to institutions such as hospitals, nursing homes and other healthcare settings. Our institutional programmes consist of half-day and full-day contracts. Get in touch to see how we might tailor a plan to suit the needs of your institution.

Workshops

We offer music therapy workshops and information sessions for any groups/professionals wishing to find out more and to experience some of the techniques commonly used in sessions.
